Stephane Bertrand


Stephane Bertrand helped start “the Avalanche”, a radio show by and about people with disabilities, about nine years ago at CKUT-FM in Montreal. He identifies as having a light intellectual disability. Stephane has offered workshops on helping c/c radio stations become more accessible, and was the brains behind and co-editor of the NCRA’s disAbilities Handbook. Recently, Stephane ran an Indiegogo campaign that raised money for the Avalanche to have American Sign Language interpretation of the show streaming online. He was elected to the NCRA Board in 2013.
